First 3 in the series

Starship, Pink Heart, and The Forest were the first three painting in this series of original, one-of-a-kind paintings. They are all signed, titled, dated, and numbered on the back. The Forest is the darkest of the ten.

This painting is done on stretched canvas and is #003 in my Colored Shapes with Black series. I paint beyond the edge, completely covering all sides with color. You can hang The Forest without a frame for a minimalist look. When a painting is completed, I spray it lightly with clear, protective acrylic for a durable finish that will last for centuries.

Work in progress

For this series, I sketched out the basic lines in pencil, filled in with color, then outlined in black. The Chattahoochee National Forest, a shady and mysterious place with lots of rare mushrooms and plant life, is my inspiration for The Forest.
