Hearts and Dots in inspired by the colors of pansies, deep purples and lavenders. The color purple reminds me of royalty, wine, ripe plums, and Oprah Winfrey.

Painting on stretched canvas

This painting is done on stretched canvas. I paint beyond the edge, completely covering all sides with color. You can hang Hearts with Dots without a frame for a minimalist look. When a painting is completed, I spray it lightly with clear, protective acrylic for a durable finish that will last for centuries. This original, one-of-a-kind painting is signed, numbered, dated, and titled on the back by the artist.

I added lots of dots to this painting. The dots are little gobs of paint that add contrast to my colored shapes. They are fun to add at the end of a painting when the piece needs just a touch of something more.
